First let's look at how many unbroken generations of specific major AKC titles exist for Golden Retrievers.
Consider the following pedigree. There are 2 sets of at least 3 unbroken generations of OTCHs here. 1)
Sneakers, her sire, and his sire. 2) Sneakers, her sire and his dam. The grandparent OTCHs on the dams side
don't count because the fact that Sneaker's dam lacks an OTCH breaks the linkage.

Did the first Golden to earn a CH have an offspring with a CH? Then did that offspring
also have an offspring with a CH and so on until today? What about the UD or ***?
Sadly, there is no direct link between the first to hold an AKC title to the Goldens of
today except for the very recent agility and rally titles.
